The Empire State and the Sunshine State will be home to new Aldi locations this week as the discount grocer continues to expand its footprint across the country.

On July 27, shoppers in the New York communities of Rensselaer and Rocky Point and in the Florida town of Parrish will each celebrate the opening of new Aldi stores.

The new Rensselaer store at 500 North Greenbush Rd. is a relocation from the community’s long-standing store at 307 Columbia Turnpike. The Rocky Point and Parrish stores are the first Aldi location in those communities.

The first 100 customers at Rocky Point and Parrish will receive a gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers at all three stores can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 Aldi gift card during the opening weekend from July 27 through July 30.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier, and we’ve been voted the price leader for six years running,” said Chris Daniels, South Windsor regional vice president for Aldi. "We’re excited to open our first Aldi store in Rocky Point and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”
