Publix shoppers scream for Publix Premium ice cream
Boston Creme Donut, Southern Banana Pudding and Black Swamp Raspberry Cheesecake, to name a few, Publix has brought back some innovative ice cream flavors under its Publix Premium line.
The Lakeland, Fla.-based retailer announced the flavor revivals on its Publix Checkout blog; they will be available now through August.
In total, eight flavors were brought back in very stylish quart-size packages that reflect the very essence of premium private brand packaging.
Along with the three flavors above, the spring flavors for Publix Premium include Buckeyes & Fudge, Caramel Coast Getaway, Pecan Turtle Fudge, Mackinac Island Fudge and Pina Colada. All of the flavors are billed as limited edition. Here’s a breakdown of the flavors:
Southern Banana Pudding — custard ice cream with swirls of banana sauce and vanilla wafer bits.
Pecan Turtle Fudge — butter pecan-flavored ice cream with Mackinac butter pecan fudge, pecan fudge chunks and roasted pecans.
Boston Creme Donut — Bavarian creme-flavored ice cream with chocolate-flavored icing and pound cake pieces.
Buckeyes & Fudge — peanut butter-flavored ice cream with chocolate-covered peanut butter buckeye candies and thick fudge.
Caramel Coast Getaway — caramel-flavored ice cream with swirls of sea salt caramel and caramel mini cups.
Black Swamp Raspberry Cheesecake — raspberry cheesecake-flavored ice cream swirled with Mackinac chocolate-covered graham cracker crust and black raspberry-filled chocolate cups.
Pina Colada — Coconut-flavored ice cream with pineapple-flavored pieces.
Mackinac Island Fudge — Vanilla-flavored ice cream swirled with thick Mackinac fudge and chewy fudge chunks.
