Analytics firm Coresight Research released a quick-hitting infographic that breaks down Amazon’s private label business by category — and apparel is the clear leader.

The graphic showed Amazon as having 149 private brands in its arsenal as of last month and three-fourths are apparel brands.

The research said that 112 of the 149 private brands are clothing, leading all categories. Perhaps surprisingly, second was grocery with nine Amazon private label brands. Tied with nine was the luggage and travel gear category, and in third was the health and household category with seven private label brands.

Coresight Research’s work covers CPG, discount stores, department stores, beauty, apparel, food and drug, luxury brands, and the supply chain. The firm is headquartered in New York.

Last week Amazon announced its exclusive partnership with HanesBrands to carry the value C9 by Champion brand. Other store brand apparel brands under Amazon include the Goodthreads denim brand and Amazon Essentials for men's, women's and children's clothing.
