Food technology company acquires assets from Good Superfoods

Disruptive Technologies, a technology company focused on the optimization of the future of food production, has acquired assets of Good Superfoods, a private brand producer and contract manufacturer of snack foods and protein bars.

The move is to take the nutrition bars, chocolate snacks and protein bars that Good Superfoods produces and produce them utilizing Disruptive Technologies’ energy efficient Clean Manufacturing Technology or CMT platform.

Good Superfoods is located in Garden City, Idaho. “The state-of-the-art facility located just outside Boise provides a perfect home for our flagship CMT unit,” said Courtney Porter, president, Disruptive Technologies, which is based in Nevada. "We look forward to bringing innovation to this space and joining other technology-based companies in making the Treasure Valley a global hub for business."

The company said Disruptive Technologies will continue to support legacy brands utilizing traditional manufacturing technologies while bringing in several new brands and private label manufacturing opportunities to take advantage of the innovative Clean Manufacturing Technology.

The company focuses on technology to elevate foods, innovating with food production equipment, and said its Disruptive's Clean Manufacturing Technology optimizes production output featuring unparalleled throughput, yield maximization and cost-reduction processes.

Good Superfoods has focused on clean label and better-for-you nutrition bars and snacks. The GFSI certified state-of-the-art facility has been the manufacturing home for multiple private brands sold at club, health food, grocery and convenience stores worldwide.
